Damon Herriman's career in acting started when he was just an eight-year-old boy. He began with TV commercials, and two years later, he was cast as Frank Errol in The Sullivans. This role was considered his breakthrough role as he found work as a child actor thereafter.

He went on to star in The Patchwork Hero, Sara Dane, For the Term of His Natural Life, Taurus Rising, The Flying Doctors, Elly & Jools, The Big Steal, Soar, etc.
