He was born on July 6, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. His full name/birth name is Kevin Darnell Hart. 

Hart’s father is Henry Witherspoon, who was a cocaine addict and was in and out of jail throughout his childhood. So, his mother, Nancy Hart, raised him alone. His mother was a professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He has one sibling – an older brother named Robert Hart. In 2007, his mom died from cancer.

Hart moved on with Eniko Parrish. They got engaged on August 18, 2014, and got married on August 13, 2016, near Santa Barbara, California. With his wife, he has a son, Kenzo Kash Hart, on November 21, 2017.  The couple welcomed their second child, daughter Kaori Mai Hart, on 29 September 2020.

Early Career

Hart's career startup was not a success. His performance in a gig at The Laff House in Philadelphia didn’t go well, and he struggled to stand up as a comedian for years. Hart participated in every comedy competition throughout Massachusetts, which helped to develop a unique comedy style and eventually led him to stand as a successful comedian.

In 2009, Hart began a comedy tour. These include I'm a Grown Little Man in 2009, followed by Seriously Funny in 2010, Laugh at My Pain in 2011, and Let Me Explain in 2013. His act titled Laugh at My Pain stood as the top-selling comedy tour of that year.

Films, TV Series

Hart started his movie career with the film Paper Soldiers. This was followed by acting in the movies Scary Movie franchise, Soul Plane, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Death at a Funeral, Little Fockers, The Five-Year Engagement (2012), and Think Like a Man.

These movies helped him to be recognized in Hollywood, both as an actor and comedian. His more recent movies are This Is the End, Grudge Match, Exit Strategy, Ride Along, Get Hard (2015), The Wedding Ringer (2015), and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2018).

Hart hosted many award ceremonies 2011 BET Awards and the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. He also hosted Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber.
