Kyle Kuzma’s birth took place on July 24, 1995, in Burton, Michigan, USA, as Kyle Alexander Kuzma. He was raised by his single mother, Karri Kuzma, who had become pregnant with him in college. Karri Kuzma was an athlete in high school and college and was a two-time Class B shot put champion.

Kuzma had offers to play with numerous Division I schools and decided to join the University of Utah. However, he redshirted his freshman year as he signed with his University late but got to play basketball in the following years.
With Lakers
In the 2017 NBA draft, Kyle Kuzma was picked by the Brooklyn Nets with the 27th overall pick and was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He signed a rookie-scale contract with the Lakers on July 3, 2017.
