Seth Meyers was born on December 28, 1973, in Bedford, New Hampshire, the U.S. His birth name is Seth Adam Meyers. 

His father’s name is Laurence Meyers Jr., and his mother’s name is Hilary Claire. Professionally, Hilary was a French teacher, and Laurence used to work in finance. 

Meyers is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a younger brother, Josh Meyers, who is an actor by profession. He was raised in Okemos, Michigan, from the age of 4 till he was 10 years old. After that, the family moved to Bedford, New Hampshire, where he spent his teenage years.

Seth Meyers had attended Edgewood Elementary in Okemos. But after the family moved places, he was enrolled at Manchester High School West in New Hampshire, from which he also graduated. 

Following graduation from high school, Seth Meyers studied and graduated from Northwestern University in 1996 with degrees in Mass media/news media/media criticism, American politics, American culture, current events, and pop culture.

Seth Meyers is of mixed ethnicity (Croatian, Czech–Austrian, Swedish, English, German) and his nationality is American.

Seth Meyers is a married man. He got engaged to his girlfriend of 5 years, Alexi Ashe, in July 2013. Just two months later, on September 1, 2013, the engaged couple married on Martha's Vineyard.

Meyers and Ashe were ready to start a new family. His wife, Alexi, gave birth to their baby boy named Ashe Olson Meyers on March 27, 2016, at Lenox Hill Hospital.

The couple’s second child, also a son that they named Axel Strahl Meyers, was born on April 8, 2018, in their apartment’s lobby! He shared his story of Axel’s birth, "I called 911, and over the course of a minute conversation, I said, 'We're about to have a baby — we're having a baby — we had a baby.'"

In November 2021, Meyers confirmed that he and his wife welcomed their third child, daughter Adelaide Meyers, in mid-September of the same year.

The couple is living without news of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Early Career

Seth Meyers’ career as a comedian started when he was at the university. Over the years, he has played minor roles in movies such as Journey to the Center of the Earth, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and See This Movie.

In 2001, Meyers joined the Saturday Night Live cast. After 4 years working there, he was promoted to writing supervisor. In January 2006, he became a co-head writer along with Tina Fey and Andrew Steele.

The Late Night Show

On May 12, 2013, NBC announced Meyers would succeed Jimmy Fallon on the Late Night Show as a host. About 9 months later, on February 24, 2014, Meyers started his workdays as a Late Night Show host.
